3D structural steel modeling and coordination
Model development for beams, columns, braces, embeds, stairs, rails, and common miscellaneous steel conditions.
A useful model begins with agreed grids, elevations, working points, member orientation, and source revisions. Coordination should expose a missing dimension or conflicting interface early, before a repeated detail spreads the same assumption through a package.
Define which items are included, which are supplied by others, and which remain on hold. Connection requirements, field measurements, and design clarifications need identified sources and responsible decision makers.
Fabrication-ready steel shop drawings
Member and assembly drawings organized for review, fabrication, and revision tracking.
The agreed drawing package should identify pieces and assemblies, their orientation and material information, and the dimensions and connection details needed for the defined scope. Fabricator conventions for marks, sheet layout, weld presentation, bolts, and material lists belong in the setup discussion.
Review comments and changed requirements need to be traceable to the affected sheets. Drawing completion and authorization to fabricate are separate project decisions.
Structural steel erection drawings
Clear layout drawings that support field sequencing, orientation, and coordination questions.
Erection information connects piece marks to their locations in the structure. Plans, elevations, sections, and references should help the receiving team identify the correct member, its direction, and the relevant interface with adjacent work.
The contract must establish the boundary between detailing information and erection engineering, temporary stability, lifting, or site safety planning. A drawing package does not assign those responsibilities by implication.
Steel RFI and design coordination support
Help identifying missing information, conflicts, and scope questions before they become shop delays.
A useful request identifies the governing issue, sheet and detail, affected members, the conflict or missing requirement, and the specific decision needed. It should also say which work can continue and which work depends on the answer.
The response should be connected to the model and documents that require an update. The free RFI builder and response log demonstrates this record structure without sending correspondence or granting approval.
Structural steel drawing revision support
Updates handled with attention to drawing clarity, revision notes, and downstream fabrication impact.
Revision support starts with the changed source, the previous issued package, and the status of affected work. A dimensional change can touch piece details, assembly sheets, erection references, quantities, and any agreed downstream data.
The handoff should identify superseded files, remaining questions, and affected material already ordered or processed. A revision cloud is a reading aid; the complete change still needs a documented review.
Automated steel detailing checks with jumpSteel Pro
Custom automation helps speed repeatable checks and drawing preparation without removing human judgment.
A defined check needs an input source, a rule, an expected result, and a way to report unsupported conditions. The useful output is a reviewable exception or repeatable document operation, with the project team retaining the consequential decision.
Read the integration-readiness matrix before assuming a native connection to another application. A public file export, an internal workflow, and a supported vendor connector are different capabilities.
