Add a supplier quote

Use the same material quantity, specification, currency, and delivery scope for every supplier. Values below are yours; this tool does not fetch prices or exchange rates.

Save and share your work

Your inputs and files stay in this browser. Nothing in these tools uploads material specifications, supplier details, or file contents. Saving on this device is explicit; export a JSON backup for work you need to retain. Shared devices and browser-data cleanup can affect saved work. Only rows added to the list are included in a backup.

Compare the scope before the price

A per-pound price and a per-tonne price are only comparable when they describe the same material and quantity. Enter one common requirement above. The tool converts that requirement to each supplier's price basis, applies the minimum material charge, and adds freight and other charges once per order. It sorts completed calculations from lowest to highest entered total.

For 10 items weighing 100 kg each, a price of 2 per kg produces a material subtotal of 2,000. A quote of 2,000 per metric tonne yields the same subtotal. Freight, minimum order charges, taxes, and quoted exclusions can then explain a difference in the delivered totals. This is a calculation example, not a current steel price.

Which kind of ton does this use?

US short ton means 2,000 pounds. Metric tonne means 1,000 kilograms. They have separate selections and must not be interchanged. One pound is converted using 0.45359237 kilograms.

Why is a weight-based quote incomplete?

It needs a positive weight per item. Quotes per complete item can still be calculated without a weight, but an effective cost per kilogram cannot. Confirm whether the supplier bills nominal, theoretical, or actual shipped weight.

Is the lowest entered total the best supplier?

Not necessarily. Check material certifications, tolerances, processing, freight terms, taxes, delivery dates, exclusions, and quote validity. A lead time of zero is only your entered value, not confirmation of stock. The tool does not verify supplier availability or choose a supplier for you.
